This slightly sloping neighbourhood is in the eastern region of North Vancouver and lies north of Mount Seymour Parkway. The western border, Riverside and Seymour, lie along the banks of the Seymour River.  To the east and higher up the mountainside are Seymour Heights (close to Mt Seymour Parkway) and Blueridge (higher up the mountainside).

This area was developed in the 1960s with secluded cul-de-sacs in a forested setting. The community has good access to Second Narrows Bridge and the Upper Levels Highway, to access the rest of Greater Vancouver.

 

Real Estate 

Riverside, Seymour, Blueridge, and Seymour Heights are mostly single family homes on wide (60'x120') lots on quiet streets; however, the region also has a few condos and townhouses as well.  Please contact us to search for real estate in Blueridge.

 

Parks and Recreation

Blueridge connects across the Seymour River to Lynn Canyon Park via the Baden-Powell Trail.  Parks dot the neighbourhood streets.  Excellent skiing is nearby at Mount Seymour, as is golfing at two, 18-hole golf courses.  Deep Cove and Cate’s Park, a great place to be by the oceanside, are a short 5 minute drive away!

 

Shopping and Services

A kilometre to the east is the Parkgate Village Shopping Centre and a kilometre to the west is the Real Canadian Superstore, just off of Upper Levels Highway. A little further west is the Park & Tilford Centre with shopping, restaurants and a movie theatre.

 

Community and Entertainment

This neighbourhood is very close to the Ice Sports North Shore Sports facility (ice rinks), Seymour Youth Centre, and the Ron Andrews Rec Centre (with swimming pool and fitness center).   To the west are the North Shore Winter Club, the SeyLynn Rec Centre, the fitness facilities at Cap University, and the North Shore Equestrian Center.  Also nearby is Maplewood Farm, a functioning farm and popular children's attraction.  The public library is just east beside the Parkgate Village Shopping Centre.  Downhill skiing is a 15 minute drive away at Mount Seymour.

 

Education

These neighbourhoods are served by Blueridge Elementary and Seymour Heights Elementary. The Windsor Secondary is across the Seymour Parkway.  Capilano University is very close by.

 

Getting Around

The region is served by regular transit to and from downtown Vancouver and the rest of the North Shore.  A five minute drive to the Second Narrows Bridge.
