Real Estate in North Vancouver - Queensbury/Calverhall 

The Calverhall area centered on Calverhall Street is close to the Lions Gate Studios, where TV shows and movies are filmed, the Second Narrows Bridge, and Capilano University. Along Main Street is a business & retail district, including the Park & Tilford Shopping Centre, and to the south is a container port and a rail yard.  Calverhall benefits from southern exposure along a hillside offering great views overlooking the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge and the inner harbour.

Queensbury is one of the oldest areas on the North Shore and the Lower Mainland. The area was known as Moodyville, and built around a lumber mill.  The Queensbury neighbourhood is located south of Keith Road and adjacent to the vibrant Lower Lonsdale commercial hub.

Real Estate

Many of the small turn-of-last-century homes were replaced by bungalows built in the 1940s - 50s. Parks and Recreation

Small community parks dot the neighbourhood, and the lively Lonsdale Quay is just next door featuring a beautiful waterfront walkway.  Lynn Canyon Park is nearby, or head up to Grand Boulevard and visit Boulevard Park.

Shopping and Services

East on Keith Road is the Park and Tilford Shopping Centre, which offers a large food store, a private wine store and many other small boutiques and services. Heading up Mountain Highway, is the Lynn Valley Centre, and west on Keith Road is the busy Lonsdale corridor and Lonsdale Quay.  Along Queensbury, from Keith to 6th, is a small pocket of boutique shops and services.

Community and Entertainment

The public library is west on Keith at Lonsdale or to the north at Lynn Valley Mall.

Education

The area is served by Brooksbank Elementary, Ridgeway Elementary, and Sutherland Secondary school. Capilano University is relatively close by.

Getting Around

The Queensbury / Calverhall area is centrally located meaning getting around is a snap!  The Second Narrows Bridge and the Lions Gate Bridge are easily accessed from this area, making the commute into downtown Vancouver or other Lower Mainland locations quick and straightforward.  Regular transit runs through the area, and the Seabus at Lonsdale Quay is very close by.
